Larry J. Coleman

     Larry (Spike) J. Coleman, 77, of Sparta, died Monday, March 29, 2021 at his home. He was born on May 25, 1943, in Elroy, WI to Cleo Ted and Mayme (Hansen) Coleman.  The family moved to St. Mary’s Ridge, outside of Cashton WI, when he was a young child.  He graduated from Cashton High School. 

     Larry went on to serve a few years in the Army and returned to Cashton after his discharge.  He married Margaret Danielson on September 1, 1973.  They soon moved to Cashton and in 1979 moved to Sparta.

     Larry is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, Larry (Rebekah), Andrew, Melissa (Scott Ruben), Abigail, Lydia (Scott) Coleman-MacIntosh, Nicholas (Reina), Benjermin (Erin), and Zachary Coleman, ten grandchildren and many other close family and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo Ted Coleman and Mayme (Hansen) Schaub; a step father, John Schaub; sibling, Daryl Coleman; and parents-in-law, Bernhard and Marie Danielson.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, April 7, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Sparta, with Father Eric Berns officiating.  Burial, with full military honors provided by VFW Post 2112, will follow in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery.
