Leslie K. Hanson

Leslie K. Hanson 51, of Sparta, died, surrounded by his loving family, Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison. He was born on April 23, 1972, to Donald and Clarice (Schaitel) Hanson, in La Crosse. Leslie grew up in the Sparta area.

Leslie had a passion for driving, anything that was fast with a big engine. He attended college at South East Technical, in Winona, MN; where he received his CDL. He became an OTR Semi Driver until his retirement, due to health issues.

He enjoyed many things in life: football, wrestling, fishing, music, his animals, and spending time with his family and friends. He also had a tremendous love for fast cars, hot rods, and motorcycles.

He is survived by his 2 children, his father, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 1 niece, and 4 nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, 2 uncles, and a great nephew.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta. Burial will be at a later time in Angelo Oak Grove Cemetery, Angelo.
