Linda L. Zeman

Linda L. Zeman, age 70, of Mindoro, WI, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. She was born on July 21, 1954, in Humboldt, NE, to Arnold and Lucille (Jergensmeier) Gerdes. Linda moved to Wisconsin in the early 1960s and later retired from her career at Ft. McCoy.

Linda was lovingly known as “Grandma Lu Lu” by her grandchildren and all who knew her. She enjoyed camping (tinkering with the campfire) and kayaking with family and friends. Linda lived life to the fullest, staying busy and decorating her house to the extreme for every holiday.

She is survived by her children, Shane (Kari) Zeman of Melrose, Travis (Mandy) Zeman of Mindoro, and Trevor Zeman of Mindoro; her grandchildren, Reese, Ty, Kennedy, Cooper, Cade, and Landon Zeman; siblings, Sharon (Claire) Rice, Dianna (Tom) Bowden, Leslie (Valynda) Gerdes, MaryLynn Barritt (Mark Bentzler), Jolene (Stan) Rydel, Elaine Zeman, Duane Gerdes, Scott (Kim) Gerdes, and Kris Proft (Doug Johnson); and many other relatives and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Lucille Gerdes, and by her siblings, Ronnie, Danny, Janice, and Kenny.

Linda's memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Old School in Melrose. Online condolences may be offered at www.schanhoferfh.com
