Lois A. North

Lois A. North, 72, of Black River Falls, died on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in La Crosse after a short battle with cancer. She was born on July 1, 1952 to Robert and Helen (Van Kirk) Taylor, in Sparta. She grew up in Sparta.

Lois married Steven North on March 25, 1972. They resided in Cataract.  Together, they had 3 children. They later divorced, after 31 years of marriage, in 2003. 

Lois is survived by her ex-husband, Steven North; children, Eric (Tammy) North, Gary (Jamie) North, and Tricia (Jeffrey) Zillmer; grandchildren, Kevin North, Zachary Neumann, Hayley (Brock) Thomas, Zachary (Brianna) Kelley, Mariah Kelley, Abygail North, Johnathon (Kassondra) Zillmer, Ashley (James) Lutz, Amber (Anthony) Lamp, and Casey Zillmer; great-grandchildren, Preston, Luke, Blake, Alex, Allison, Dawson, Braelynn, Jasmine, Sophia, Elizabeth, Annabelle, Casey, Marcella, Baby Zillmer, and Baby Kelley; siblings, Edith Taylor, Donna Kadow, Arlene Kneifl, James Taylor, Dean (Cathy) Taylor, and Vicki (Mark) Bernarde and many nieces and nephews. Brother In-Law Roger North.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Helen Taylor; siblings, George Taylor, Debbra Sheire, Robert Van Kirk, and infant sister Barbara.

A Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday January 4th with a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta, with Reverend Loretta Waughtal officiating.
