Lois J. Bridwell

Lois J. Bridwell, 84, of Sparta, died Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the Morrow Memorial Home. She was born September 9, 1938, to Maynard and Ollie (Fritts) Bridwell, in Tayloville, IL. She grew up and attended high school in Taylorville.

Lois worked as a Civilian Contact Representative for the Army and Navy for 38 years. This allowed her to travel the country. She was very fond of Alaska, and hoped too someday return. She loved Boston Terriers, and collected many figurines. She enjoyed fishing, watching Professional Wrestling with her sister, and being a member of 1st Congregational Church of Leon.

Lois is survived by family and friends as well as her family at 1st Congregational Church of Leon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Mary Lou Martinovic.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1st Congregational Church of Leon at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 3, 2023, with Pastor Don Ehler officiating. Burial will follow in Leon Cemetery, with a luncheon being held back at the Church.
