Lois A. Robaczewski

Lois A. Robaczewski, 80, of Sparta died on December 7, 2023 at her home. She was born on January 30, 1943 to Leonard and Nordis (Berseth) Aellig in Sparta. Lois grew up in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School in 1960.

Lois moved to St. Paul, MN in 1962, and worked at West Publishing Co. It was there that she met and married Robert “Bob” Robaczewski on February 11, 1966. They moved to Black River Falls in 1968, then later to Sparta in 1974. She worked at the Sparta Clinic, Sears Catalog Store, and The Greenery.

Lois enjoyed going to senior exercise class, playing cards, an occasional trip to the casino, and watching her beloved Chicago Cubs games on television. She was an avid newspaper reader and kept up on the national news. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she adored.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Nordis Aellig.

Lois is survived by her husband, Bob; children, Paul (Nicole), and David (Jennifer); grandchildren, Cameron (Hannah), Calista, Caitlin, and Julliette (Tim).

The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors and staff of Mayo Health System and a special thank-you to the St. Croix Hospice team for their excellent care and compassion.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sparta, with Reverend Josh Buzbee officiating. Burial will be at a later time in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Sparta.
