Lorraine M. Steinhoff

Lorraine Steinhoff, 81, of Cashton died on Sunday, October 22, 2023, after battling extreme pain for years, and unbearable pain in the end. She was born on June 20, 1942 to Levi and Emma (Kneifl) Cavadini in Bangor. She grew up in Middle Ridge.

Lorraine married Richard Steinhoff on July 1, 1961 at St. Peter’s Church in Middle Ridge. She spent her life farming with her husband Richard until 1994. Then worked at Foss’ Meats for 9 years.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved playing cards with friends, and had a heart of gold. She was always there for people who needed her. She will remain in our hearts forever.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Richard Steinhoff; children, Wendy Hoth, Ricky (Deb Wells) Steinhoff, and Timothy Steinhoff; brother, Larry Cavadini; sister, Jane Anderson; 5 grandchildren, Tiffany (Steve) Krombeer, Felicia (Micah) Rupprecht, Skylar, Allison, and Kayla Vian; and 6 great grand-children, Adalynn, Axten, Remi, Avayah, Shelby, and Braelyn.

Lorraine will be joining her sons, Randy and Lenny; and sisters, Levina and Theresa, in the afterlife.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Sparta, with Father Eric Berns officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church basement.
