Mary M. Flock

     Mary M. Flock, 60, of Sparta, died Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at her home. She was born on April 16, 1961 to Gordon and Jeanne (Whitcomb) Oliver, in Hillsboro, WI. 

     Mary married Mark Flock on May 10, 1986. 

     Mary was a selfless woman who deserved far more time in this world, yet she remained positive and thankful through it all.  She handled every obstacle in life with such grace, and refused to stop fighting until the very end.  Her strength and compassion will always be remembered. Not a single day will go by that she is not missed by everyone who knew her.

     Mary is survived by her husband, Mark Flock of Sparta; daughter, Chelsea (Nate) Parker of Cataract, daughter, Chynna (Matt Dutton) Flock of Sparta; grandchildren, Kendyl and Bladyn Parker of Cataract; sisters, Susan Oliver and Phyllis Press of Janesville; brother, Pastor John (Julie) Oliver of Spring Green, sister, Laurie (Ronald) Oliver-Boyd of Rosemount, MN, sister, Jane Oliver of Hot Springs, SD; mother-in-law, Jackie Flock of Sparta; brother-in-law, Fred Flock of Westby, brother-in-law, Scott (Kay) Flock of Sparta; sister-in-law, Kim (Tom) Waters of Sparta; and many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; Gordon and Jeanne Oliver; grandson, Rileigh Parker; father-in-law, Wayne Flock; and sister-in-law, Kim Thompson-Flock.

     A celebration of life will be held at 1 PM on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Evans-Bosshard Park with Reverend John Oliver officiating.

     The Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta, is assisting the family with arrangements.
