Mary Annabelle Sharp

Mary Annabelle Sharp, age 93, of Sparta, passed away on November 21, 2020 surrounded by family.  Loved by many, Annabelle was born in Bush Prairie and lived in Sparta all her life except while she was in Nurse’s Training at Saint Francis School of Nursing in La Crosse, WI. 

Annabelle was proud of her skills as a nurse and was part of the St Mary’s Hospital Community for 37 years.  She also supported her children and many others in 4-H; volunteering at Head Start reading to the participants.  She was a long member of Home and Community Education, Red Cross Blood Drives, St Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary, as well as a Morrow Home Volunteer. 

Annabelle is survived by her children, Kathleen (Charlie Chiedu) Sharp, Mike(Dawn) Sharp, Dennis (Barb) Sharp, Pat (Dan) Smith, John (Sue) Sharp, Karen (Matt) Pieper, Donna (Victor Medrano) Sharp, Steve (Ann Yourell) Sharp, Mary Sharp, Paul (Lisa) Sharp, Ann (Clay) Hanson, and Anthony (Kris Picha) Sharp; 37 grandchildren;  23 great grandchildren; her siblings, Merlin (Ruth) Ebert,  Harvey Ebert,  sister-in-law, Diane Arndt, brothers in law, Bill Hayes and James Arndt; and many loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Sharp; her daughter, Judith Viner; son in law, Tim Viner;  her grandchildren, Zachary and Zane Sharp and Derek Rhodaback;  her parents, William and Anna Ebert;  parents in law, Owen, Pearl and Erma Sharp; her much loved siblings, Arlene Hayes, Robert (Mary) Ebert, and Roger (Eleanor) Ebert;  as well as her sisters in law, and Lorraine (Harvey) Ebert; and her in laws, Owen and Yvonne Sharp;  and a nephew, Gregg Arndt. 

Due to Covid- 19 restrictions, there will be no visitation.  A private mass of Christian burial will be held for family at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church.  A burial ceremony will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.schanhoferfh.com.
