Penny Kirby Tock

Penny Kirby Tock, 82, of Sparta, died on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at her home surrounded by family. Penny was born on February 2, 1939 to Robert and Doris (Woodson) Kirby in Texarkana, Arkansas.

Penny married Richard Tock in Waukegan, IL in 1955. They moved to Sparta in 1960. Penny had been a school bus driver for the Sparta Area School District and was a Realtor for over thirty years. She also taught continuing education at Western Technical College for several years. She and her husband owned and operated Tiny Treasures in Sparta.

Penny is survived by her children, Steven (Linda) Tock of Baraboo, Russell (Dana) Tock of Sparta, Thomas Tock of Sparta, and Kristine Tock of Sparta; grandchildren, Jason (Nikki) Larson, Michelle (Ben) Jones, Benjamin Tock, Cass Tock, Thomas (Megan) Tock, Betsy Kaplan, Joel Tock, Nicole Tock, Loren Tock, Kirby Tock, and TJ Tjaden; great grandchildren, Josiah, Dakota, and Azalea; loving friends, Marilyn Hemstock, Beth Pendleton, Rita McGuinness, Lani Crocker, Lee Rudolph, Gail Treu, and many others. 

Penny was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and her parents Robert & Ellen Kirby and Doris & Lloyd Ehnert.

Memorial Service to be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation of Sparta. Rev. Mark Kvale to officiate. Memorial Visitation to be held before the service from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
