Rex B. Roberts

Rex B. Roberts, 66, of Sparta, died Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at his home. He was born on March 22, 1954 in Sparta to Allen and Arlene (Boldon) Roberts. He grew up in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School.

Rex served in the US Army. He worked various jobs in Sparta and La Crosse. He also worked as a chef for Rose Convent in La Crosse. He loved music. He played in a band, Rising Spirit, in junior and senior school. He also enjoyed buying and selling Hammond B3 organs.

Rex is survived by his brothers, Gary (Sue) Roberts of Scottsdale, AZ, Keith (Mary Masters) Roberts of Sparta, and Dale (Judy) Roberts of Sparta; niece, Leah (Nick) Bono of Waunakee, WI and nephew, Neil (Lindsay) Roberts of Sherwood, OR.  

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2021 in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta, with Priscilla Hemmersbach officiating. Luncheon will follow at Club Oasis, Sparta. Memorials may be directed to the Sparta Chamber of Commerce for Concerts in the Park. 

Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta, is assisting the family with arrangements.
