Robert “Bob” G. Cooper Jr., 66, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at his home in Cataract, WI. He was born July 21, 1957, in Beloit, WI to Robert and Sandra (Neblock) Cooper Sr.
In 1977, he married Debra Christophersen, they had 3 children during that time, and later divorced in 1991. In 1997, Bob married Linda Ward; he welcomed her three children with open arms. Together, they had a daughter of their own.
Throughout the years, Bob managed a Cranberry Marsh for nearly 20 years in Tomah, WI; was partial owner of A-1 and Cooper-Prager Construction. Then finished his career working at the Walmart Distribution Center and Dayton Freight Lines out of Tomah, WI until being diagnosed with lung cancer.
Bob truly lived life to the fullest. He taught his kids many lessons in life that ranged from car maintenance, hunting, fishing, bowling, and playing horseshoes. He was always there when his family needed him, even when he didn’t have the energy. He enjoyed gardening, cheering on the Brewers, Packers, and most recently the Milwaukee Bucks.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Ward) Cooper of Cataract, WI; children, Jennifer (Henry) Pulcine of Carrollton, TX, Jason (Sheana) Cooper of Wausau, WI, Jason (Andrea) Allen of Tomah, WI, Rebecca (Igor) Kosterin of Plymouth, MN, Steven Allen of Tomah, WI and Kara Cooper of Tomah, WI; father, Robert Cooper Sr. of Cataract, WI; grandchildren, Zoe, Madison, Spencer, Elli, Emmaline, Genevieve, Evelyn, Liam, Aydan, Jamison, and Tristan; brother, Bill (Sam) Cooper of Australia; sister, Cindy (Don) Lane of Stanley, WI; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra L. Cooper; and stepson, Christopher J. Allen.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation; with a memorial service to immediately follow with Pastor Daren DeFord officiating. Condolences may be offered at www.schanhoferfh.com
