Robert G. Cooper Sr., 89, of Cataract, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. He was born on October 3, 1935 in Alma Center, to Harry Sr and Elnora Cooper. He was one of 6 children. They lost their father when Robert was 9 years old. In 1957, he married Sandra Neblock. She passed away on May 20, 2010.
He worked on his farm from 1963 until he retired 10 years ago. He continued to live on that same farm until his passing. He will be missed, and was dearly loved by many.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Cindy Lane of Stanley, WI; son, William Cooper of Banbury, in Western Australia; sister, Bonnie (Frank) Walton of Black River Falls, WI; brother, Richard (Joyce) Cooper of Hixton, WI; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra; son, Robert Cooper Jr on March 17, 2024 of cancer; and brothers, Alvin, Arthur, and Harry Jr.
A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta, with Reverend Josh Buzbee officiating.
