Robert “Bob” Bernard Steinhoff, 81, of Sparta, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Serenity House in Tomah. He was born on May 26, 1944 to Bernard and Catherine (Steidl) Steinhoff, in Sparta. He grew up in Sparta, and graduated from Sparta High School in 1962. He then attended UW-L.
After graduating, Bob joined the Army, where he served at the Pentagon. After his military discharge, he worked at Fort McCoy. Following his retirement, he worked at Wal-Mart Pharmacy. He also volunteered at Rolling Hills for many years.
Bob is survived by his siblings, John (Vicki), Mike, Linda, Jerry, Jeff (Jeanne), and Barb (Leo) Ward; brothers-in-law, Jerry Erickson and Gene Kaijala; sisters-in-law, Laurie, Diane, and Norma; special family friends, John (Char) Roehrl; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Carol, Nan, Donna, Tom, Pat, Danny, Pete, and Dennis; and sisters-in-law, Mary Ann and Lynn.
Per Bob’s wishes, no services will be held. Memorials may be offered to Serenity House, Tomah.
