Robert “Bob” A. Wiedl, 59, of Sparta, died Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at his home,
surrounded by those he loved. Robert was born to Anthony and Marie (Hansen) Wiedl on
October 27, 1961.
Bob was married to Tammy on June 7, 1986. They would go on to have four children. Bob
had a love of beers, whiskey and marathon running. Bob attended UW-Madison where he
obtained his Bachelor’s Degree. Bob started his own Physical Therapy practice and ran it
for 25 years. He loved to travel, most notably Montana and Florida. Bob also loved to hunt
elk and enjoyed a good view. Bob will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Bob is survived by his wife Tammy (Donskey); daughters Samantha (Adam) Hustad,
Meghan (Bodhi) Ender and Rachael Wiedl; grandson Griffin Robert Hustad; mother Marie
Wiedl; brother Mike (Cindy Vandervort) Wiedl; father and mother-in-law John and Marilyn
Donskey; sister Linda Organ, sister and brother-in-law Cindy and Dan Downing; brothers-in-law Terry and
John Donskey; brother and sister-in-law Dust and Siri Donskey; brother in law Chris
Chambers.
Bob is further survived by many nieces and nephews, Melissa, Jessica, Christopher, Jason,
Justine, Mitchel, Alexa, Lisa, Garett, Karlie, Taylor and Quinn.
Bob is preceded in death by his daughter Mollie Lynn Wiedl; father Tony Wiedl; sister
Diane Chambers; nephew Jared Chambers; grandparents George and Marie Wiedl and Art
and Margaret Hansen.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 13,
2021, at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Sparta, with Father Eric Berns officiating. Private
burial will follow at Farmers Valley Cemetery, rural Sparta.
Family and friends are invited to call from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 12,
2021 at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta, and 10 a.m. until time of
services on Monday, September 13, 2021 at the church.
The Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta, is assisting the family with
