Ronald J. Gasper

Ronald J. Gasper, 81, of Sparta, died Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta. He was born on November 13, 1942 in Sparta, to Jack and Laura (Berendes) Gasper. He grew up in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School.

Ron served in the US Navy and came back to Sparta.

Ron married Nan McMillan who later passed away from cancer. He then married Wanda Capps. She passed away March 23, 2020.

Ron worked at Union Camp in Tomah until he retired. He enjoyed playing baseball and softball in his younger years.

He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Phillips of St. Clair Shores, MI and Christel (Donal) Maradiaga Duarte of Sparta; seven grandchildren, Jocelyn, Natasha, Kieley, Josie, Liv, Eveling, and Francisco; a great grandson, Javier; brother, Conrad (Beverly) Gasper of Sparta; sister, Jean (John) Fannon of Florida; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nan and wife, Wanda; and nephew, Michael Gasper.
