Sandra Cobb Obituary

Sandra K Cobb, “ I would rather dance than eat!” This sums up our mothers’ zest for life! She loved to dance. She loved to live large. She enjoyed so many things throughout her life;
dancing, entertaining, time with friends, family, football, action movies, boating, sailing, water and downhill skiing, sun bathing and high fashion. She always was dressed to the nines. She
had an amazingly funny quick wit and in her final hours compared herself with the “old woman that lived in a shoe”, when asked how many children she had.

Her family was what she valued most and she was surrounded by them as she passed peacefully in her home December 5th, 2022. She wanted her family to know the PEACE she
had in Jesus. She reassured us of her deep peace before she passed and went on to say, “I have had a wonderful life, it’s all good.”

Sandra was born October 21,1942 in Fargo, ND to John and Margaret Waxler. She moved to Sun Prairie, WI in 1970 with her three daughters Kimberly, Stacey and Tiffany Swedberg. Where
she opened up Sandra’s. Which was a very successful high fashion women’s clothing store. Customers would come from all over the state to her incredibly unique store . She was quite a
“mover and shaker” in the fashion industry. She put on many style shows, took buying trips to New York City and was very innovative with her marketing, commanding the respect of many.
Most importantly, she took tremendous time helping each of her costumers, “feel like a million bucks”. She helped them look good on the outside with beautiful clothing but also took time to
get to know them on the inside. Many of her customers became her close friends. She had the gift of hospitality and was a gourmet cook and loved to entertain. She was a talented dancer
which she loved to do, up until the very end. She met the love of her life John S. Cobb on the dance floor, They had two children Joshua and John Cobb. After the passing of her beloved
husband she moved to Sparta to be closer to her daughter, although she would have rather been in Madison. Many times she said, Madison, Madison, Madison…take me back to
Madison! Mom did find much joy with her family, and many wonderful friends here in Sparta. She especially loved the Wednesday nights concerts in the park, where she would dance,
dance dance!!! We will miss her here, and look forward to seeing her again in Heaven. John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes
in me will live, even though they die”.

A service will be held Saturday December 10, 2022 at St. John’s Lutheran Church 419 Jefferson Ave. Sparta, WI 54656 at 11 am with a 10 am visitation followed by a luncheon and then an
