Scott G. Lindemann

     Scott G. Lindemann, 72, of Sparta, died Monday, June 14, 2021, at Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta. He was born on May 17, 1949, in Milwaukee, WI to Gordon and Catherine (Repensek) Lindemann.

     Scott grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1967. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era and was stationed in Germany as a military police officer.

     Scott met Georgia Schultz in Milwaukee and they married on November 4, 1972. They moved to Sparta in 1973, after he joined the Wisconsin State Patrol Academy. He worked there for over 30 years, rising to the position of Sergeant. During his career, Scott became one of the top 20 sharpshooters in the State Patrol. He was also an instructor at the Academy, specializing in firearm techniques and tactical approaches.

     Scott was Chief of the City Fire Department for over 30 years. He enjoyed civic duty, volunteering in community events like Butterfest and working part time for the Monroe County Sheriff's Department. He served on various boards in Sparta including Morrow Memorial Home and Northern Engraving.

     Scott is survived by his wife, Georgia Lindemann of Sparta; siblings, Sherry (Jed) Fleming of San Antonio, FL, Dawn (Larry) Della Vedova of Johnsburg, IL, Gordy (Mary) Lindemann of Wauwatosa, WI, Todd (Mari) Lindemann of Port Washington, WI; special cousins, Glenn Hackl of Brookfield, WI, and Mark Hackl of Cedarburg, WI.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Catherine; daughter, Catherine “Katie” Lindemann; and brothers, Craig Lindemann and Dean Lindemann.

     A Time for Sharing will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta. Military honors, provided by VFW Post 2112, will follow in the parking lot.

     Family and friends are invited to call from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
