Steven M. Green

Steven M. Green, 67, of Sparta, WI passed away peacefully on May 4, 2022 at Mayo Hospital in La Crosse, WI with his family by his side, after a courageous year long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.

Steven was born November 4, 1954 to Rolland and Rita (Bobst) Green. He grew up in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School. Most of his adult life was spent being a mechanic at various places until his retirement in November 2020. His favorite place to work was at Syverson’s Service Station in Sparta with his boss, Jimmy. My the stories he would come home with from that man. He truly loved his job there.

On February 14, 1987, he was united in marriage to Stacy Walters. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Nicole Lynn.

Steven enjoyed watching NASCAR races, working on vehicles and projects in the garage, sitting on the deck watching traffic, and spending time with their 4 beautiful grandchildren.

Steven is survived by his wife of 35 years, Stacy; the love of his life daughter, Nicole (Fiance’, Sean Clayton) Green; grandchildren, Brady, Ava, Nora, and Sawyer Clayton; sister, Sheryl Rhymer; brothers, Brian (Denise) Green and Eric (Becky) Green; sisters-in-law, Stephany (Ralph) Rostkowski and Sheryl Brooks; uncle, Walt (Kris) Bobst; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael; and brothers-in-law, Steven Walters, Jeffrey Church, and Terry Brooks.
