Susan A. Sanwald

Susan A. Sanwald, 62, of Viroqua, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Gundersen Health System, La Crosse. She was born January 17, 1956 to the late John and Dolly Fitzsimions in Viroqua.

Susan grew up in Viroqua and graduated from Viroqua High School. She married Harold Bailey on August 5, 1980. They later divorced. Susan worked as a seamstress for ORC Industries in Sparta. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and anything in the outdoors.

Susan is survived by her two sons, Patrick Bailey and John (Donna) Bailey, both of Sparta; her eight grandchildren; two brothers, Fred (Lori) Sanwald, of Tomah; and Clent (Deb) Sanwald, of Tomah; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dolly; and a sister, Loretta (Albert) Babcock.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Farmers Valley Cemetery, Rural Sparta. Visitation for Susan will be held on Monday, from 2-2:45 p.m. at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta. Online condolences may be offered to Susan’s family at www.schanhoferfh.com.
