Trent Davenport Obituary

Trent D. Davenport, 53, of Sparta, WI, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Born on February 7, 1972, in Sparta, he was raised in the same community and graduated from Sparta High School in 1990.

Following high school, Trent proudly served his country as a jet engine mechanic in the United States Air Force. His military career took him across the globe, with assignments in England, Saudi Arabia, Panama, and Turkey. It was during his time in Grand Forks, ND, that he welcomed his three children, Chelsea, Anthony, and Thomas into his life.

After returning to Sparta, Trent worked in various mechanical roles, including driving a semi-truck, a milk truck, and as a diesel mechanic. His skills and hard work led him to become a supervisor at Fort McCoy, where he continued to serve his community with pride.

A passionate athlete, Trent was a standout in track and cross-country during high school, earning a four-year varsity letter in track. He enjoyed participating in 5K races with his family, along with cross-country ski races. He also cherished his time spent fishing, hunting, and his love for RC airplanes. Above all, Trent's greatest joy in life came from his grandchildren, who adored him deeply.

Trent is survived by his parents, Debra and Carl Davenport; children, Chelsea (Codey) Christophersen Anthony Davenport, and Thomas (Leah) Craft; wife, Laura; brother, Ryan (Cherie) Davenport; grandfather, Don Larson; grandmother, Donna Larson; grandchildren, Scarlett and Hazel Davenport, Jarvis, Brady, Sawyer, and Oliver Dierks, Echo, Hunter, and Gunner Flores and Chloe Craft; niece and nephew, Maggie Davenport, and Dale Kukowski; as well as many extended family members and friends.
