William Brown Jr. Obituary

William (Bill) Preston Brown Jr., 74, of Sparta, died Sunday, August 8, 2021, at the Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta, WI. He was born August 14, 1946 in Henderson, TX, to William and Eleanor (Zuidmulder) Brown Sr. He lived in Henderson until the age of 6. The family moved to Wakefield, MI.

He was educated in Wakefield schools. He graduated from Wakefield High School. He served in the US Army from 1964-1967. He worked at the White Pine Copper Mine, White Pine, MI., Goodyear Tire, and Rubber North, Chicago, IL. He retired from Snap-on Tools.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pamela; sons, Craig (Brandy) Brown, and Jamie (Angie) Brown; grandchildren, Brandon, Victoria, Caleb, Zachary, and Ashley; sisters, Cheryl Brown and Carol Haskins; brother, Tommy Brown; sisters-in-law, Barbara Smoler and Debbie (Ken) Klopstein; and brother-in-law, Jeff (Marcia) Gapanowicz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert.

A memorial service will be held at a later time in Kenosha, WI with burial in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI.

Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta, is assisting the family with arrangements.
