Jill L. Danielson

Jill L. Danielson, 63, of Sparta, died Monday, October 2, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born May 14, 1954 in Sparta, WI. 

Jill grew up in the Sparta area. She worked for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department for over 20 years. Jill was very proud to be the first female road officer in Monroe County. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, and loved to travel. 

Jill is survived by her 3 children, Tammy (Monica) Danielson, of Minneapolis, MN; Jennifer (Matthew Andrew) Danielson-Laxton, of Cataract, and Kristofer (Amber) Danielson, of Tomah; 5 grandchildren: Jenna Laxton, Joanna Danielson, Emmalee Fischer, Thomas Danielson, and Chole Danielson. She is further survived by her 6 siblings: Andrea (Danny) Mays; Lori Love; Clayton (Jackie) Williams; Cynthia (Richard) Taylor; Kevin Williams; Pat (Ed) Linenberg; her dog, Harley; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and several devoted brothers and sisters-in-law. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; parents, Nancy Huggett and Bill Williams; stepfather, Robert Johnson; a brother, Tim Williams; uncle, John Huggett; brothers-in-law, Jim and John Danielson; and a niece, Courtney Williams. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta. Burial will follow in Big Creek Union Cemetery, rural Sparta. 

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday, from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be offered to Jill’s family at www.schanhoferfh.com.
