Vincent "Vinny" Martin-Davis

Vincent “Vinny” Martin-Davis, 21, of Rockland, died Friday, February 10, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born March 10, 1995 in Sparta, to Brad Martin and Regina “Gina” Davis. Vinny attended school in Bangor, Hillsboro, and graduated from G-E-T with the class of 2013. He worked as machinist for Fastenal while attending S.E. Technical College. Most recently, he did electrical assembly for Multistack in Sparta.

Vinny had a calming essence and a smile that was uniquely his own.  He was a rock to his siblings and a true friend to those who knew him well.  With his genuine curiosity, simple passions and “fix-it” abilities he lived his life doing what he enjoyed like RC cars, Penny boarding, long boarding, playing video games and customizing & riding pit bikes with friends.    

Vinny is survived by his mother, Gina Davis, Las Vegas, NV; father, Brad (Trish) Martin, Bangor; siblings, Tony Martin, Oak Ridge, TN; Emily Martin and Brett Kelly, both of Bangor; maternal grandmother, Suzanne (Steve) Appel, Las Vegas, NV; maternal grandfather, Glenn (Sue) Davis, Visalia, CA; and paternal grandparents, George (Marlene) Martin, Sparta. He is further survived by his aunts and uncles, Anthony (Patty) Davis; and Chris (Angie) Martin; cousins: Alexandra (Dan) Veglahn, Anthony Davis, Aubrey Davis, Jenna and Colby Martin.    

 A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta, with Rev. Mark Kvale officiating. Following the service, there will be a celebration of life at the American Legion in Sparta.
